PA Humanities

PROJECT: REBRAND

The Pennsylvania Humanities Council was in need of a rebrand that would better reflect their innovative, on-the-ground approach to the humanities. A comparative analysis of peer humanities councils nationwide informed the recommendation to adopt the name PA Humanities.

The work included renaming, a new logo, and a cohesive design system—spanning color, typography, and iconography—designed to support flexible digital and print collateral development and reflect the organization’s focus on community engagement. An expanded color palette represents the diversity of lived experience across Pennsylvania’s humanities ecosystem, supported by clear brand guidelines for consistent application.

Additionally, 2 logos for their flagship programs “Teen Reading Lounge” and “Community Heart & Soul” were designed as part of the larger identity system.
